John
Breuer (Partner Affiliate)
John Breuer brings
thirty years of marketing, sales, general
management, and consulting experience in
consumer products. His work is focused on
developing and implementing consumer, customer,
supply chain, and technology strategies
to generate sustainable revenue growth and
to translate brand equity into shareholder
value.
Prior to his work with the
Everest Group, John worked for nine years
in the strategy practices for PricewaterhouseCoopers
and IBM Business Consulting Services, eventually
leading the North American Consumer Products
Practice. John consulted in corporate growth,
supply chain, and technology strategies.
His clients included Kraft Foods, Clorox,
Con-Agra, Campbell Soup, Baxter International,
Cadbury Schweppes, Pillsbury, Anheuser-Busch,
Albertsons, Burger King, Kellogg's, Miller
Brewing, and Smurfit-Stone. John led industry
thought-leadership initiatives including
development of white papers, consulting
with client executive teams, and regularly
speaking to industry conferences on the
future of the consumer products industry.
Prior to consulting, John
spent 20 years in line management roles
with food and beverage companies. He was
the President of the Quaker Oats Beverage
business in South Asia responsible for the
successful start-up of the Gatorade business
there. As President of the U.S. Cereals
business, John led the development and implementation
of new strategies and a major organizational
redesign that transformed the business resulting
in significant growth, cost savings, and
improvement in profitability. John's first
role at Quaker was Vice President of Marketing
for Gatorade, leading the doubling of the
business over four years.
Earlier, John was the Marketing
Director for Pepsi-Cola and Mountain Dew,
where he developed the advertising strategy
and theme line for "Pepsi. The Choice
of a New Generation" campaign, and
introduced Diet Mountain Dew.
John began his career at General
Mills, where he was a Brand Manager on Nature
Valley Granola Bars and various new business
ventures.
John has an M.B.A. in Finance
from The Wharton School of the University
of Pennsylvania and a Sc.B. in Applied Mathematics
from Brown University.
