and identifying new growth platforms. In
20 years as a consultant, Jim has helped
more than 50 clients find new paths to profitable
growth by leading them through a disciplined
process of discovery, ideation, strategic
option development and assessment, and implementation
planning. His industry experience spans
consumer packaged goods, retailing, electronics,

care, printing, home improvement and financial
services. Major clients have included McDonald's,

Prior to consulting, Jim spent
18 years in line management positions. He
was Vice President of Consumer Publishing
with Rand McNally, where he brought a greater
consumer focus to an old-line business,
building key existing businesses while addressing
critical profitability issues.
Before that, Jim spent 11
years in various marketing positions with
Quaker Oats. As Vice President of Product
Management in the Foods Division, he was
responsible for hot and ready-to-eat cereals,
syrups and mixes, snacks and corn products.
Earlier, Jim led Quaker's marketing efforts
in the Pet Food division for Ken-L Ration
and Buss 'n Boots products. He was instrumental
in establishing Quaker, at that time, as
an innovator and major player in the dry
dog food category.
Jim began his career at Procter
& Gamble in the Toilet Goods Division,
where he provided marketing support on Crest,
Prell, Secret and Sure. He later joined
