Joe Murphy brings to
Everest Group clients more than 25 years
of high-powered integrated marketing expertise,
incorporating strategic planning, concept
development, branding, positioning, and
business-building program design and execution.
Particularly proficient in
developing retail initiatives, service enhancement
programs and strategic co-branding, Joe
has formed an alliance (Murphy Marketing
Alliance) with award-winning writers and
designers and other integrated marketing
specialists. Teams are assembled based on
a specific client's needs.
Prior to consulting, Joe was
Vice-President at Frankel & Co. where
he led the McDonald's account and was responsible
for retail strategy, merchandising, promotion
planning and execution. Joe developed a
zone merchandising strategy for McDonald's.
Many leading retailers have subsequently
adopted the zone retail approach.
In addition to Frankel, Joe
has held senior management positions at
Dawson, Johns & Black Advertising, Davidson
Marketing (now 141), and Benton & Bowles
Advertising. Besides McDonald's, his past
clients include Pizza Hut, Snap-on, Rand
McNally, Hasbro, Corona, Sierra Club, UNO,
International Harvester, Oldsmobile and
Tribune Co.
Joe's alliance marketing experience
includes Disney, the NBA, Microsoft, the
NFL, the Olympics and World Cup Soccer.
Joe has a B.S. in Marketing
and an M.B.A. from Northern Illinois University.
